2011-12 REGISTRATION
The Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) is open to all registered parish families with children from age 3½ (3 by March 1, 2011) through Confirmation reception, who attend the area public or non-parochial schools.
PREREQUISITES
- The family must be registered in St. Joseph Parish.
- Students must attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days. The basis of all religious instruction is the Liturgy of the Word and of the Eucharist. Attending religious instruction is always in addition to Mass attendance.
- A child must have completed the previous year of religious education before moving on to the next year (e.g., level 3 completed before entering level 4), regardless of the child’s grade in school.
REGISTRATION
Please complete one family form and an information sheet for each child you wish to enroll. It is important that the forms be filled in completely. A copy of the baptismal record is necessary for registration to be considered complete. See below for more details on class sessions.
Please keep in mind that classes do fill up, and when they do, we need to close that day or grade. We can’t guarantee that you’ll receive your first choice for day or time. Please select at least three choices. We apologize for any inconvenience but when a grade is full we must close it during that session.
CLASS OPENINGS
Due to the large number of enrollments, we must operate on a first-come, first-enrolled basis. Some levels in some sessions are already full and we can no longer accept students at those times. Please make at least three selections for your child.
Please consider helping out. We can offer a quality religious-education program for our children only if we all are willing to participate in whatever way our schedules permit. What a great example of stewardship this is! Please fill out the volunteer form. To help protect all of God’s children, all volunteers must have on file in the Parish Offices: Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance and verification that they have attend Safe Environment session. Additionally all volunteers must complete the Technology Addendum training on line by September 5 and attend a Mandated Reporter Training. Please list all areas in which you wish to volunteer. See the Volunteer form for more information.
Please prayerful consider giving your time and talent to the children of St. Joseph Parish.
Every effort is made to place your child(ren) in class(es) during the session you are volunteering. If you have any questions, please contact the PREP office.
RETURNING REGISTRATION FORMS
Please fill in and correct all forms and return ALL forms and return via mail to:

Sincerely in Christ,

We apologize if we can NOT accommodate your class session choices.
Once again, we are deeply grateful to all the adults who generously share their time, talent and faith with the young people of St. Joseph Parish. Please consider joining them. If you are a parent who is helping, your child is able to attend their religious instruction at the same time you volunteer.
